If a blog post falls in the forest…
You’ve found an old blog experiment from 2011. Feel free to poke around, but please have a very large grain of salt handy at all times. Errors, typos, and other issues are regrettable but not likely to get fixed. #Kthxbi.
Inconceivably, I’ve been posting since Y2K, and though I’m not sure that it makes a sound (or that that word means what I think it means), I do love the opportunity to blather on about things of extreme unimportance.
Some time ago, I had a conversation about blurring the lines of personal/professional identities online with my brilliant cousin (she’s really a genius, and somehow also one of the nicest people I’ve ever met). Often, I consider her very solid recommendation to parse out professional from personal data. And as a result, I’ve littered the interwebs with various linked in, facebook, twitter, google, friendster, orkut, myspace, dogster, ning, about.me and other profiles.
Being a person with limited attention span (at best), and someone who’s life slips easily from art to work (with dogs and food as constant threads through it all), I’ve never had much success in keeping things separate. I enjoy the mix of people in my life, and I suspect that my life online reflects that. There are awkward moments when things don’t quite mesh (whoever thought that my relatives, my workmates, and my grade school friends would find me online…ah social media), but somehow that seems apropos of something life-like.
Over time a few patterns have emerged, but it’s remained random and fairly personal (food, dogs, the like) and sometimes related to my art/work. Feel free to peruse, comment, send cookies and tell me off as you see fit.
2.0 (-ish)
Pardon the dust as I ramp back up to full verbose randomness. Since blogger took away FTP access, I’ve been puttering away, looking for the >140char bit of web tomfoolery to call my own. Feel free to poke around, or to have a look at previous incarnations of my ramblings
This blog is powered by WordPress.org and was adapted from the much nicer, cleaner Wu Wei theme. But then I broke it (again), so do excuse the mess as I have more fun with changes and eventual improvements.
