Busy day today. Did some other doodling, but made myself sit down and do a quick sketch of Kehoe. Found myself really looking forward to the little pockets of time when I can sit still and draw for a bit. Haven’t been able to make as much time as I’d like (updating this blog and finding/making pieces to give away are more time-consuming than I’d expected), but going to do my best at it for the next 26 days.
It’s starting to trickle into other areas of my life. Things have been a bit overwhelming and stressful, and so I took a little time to be with each dog one-on-one as well as some quiet time to sit and meditate (and doze off) while waking up. Been trying to eat something other than coffee during the day and challenged myself to resolve a few sticky problems today.
Also interesting is the lovely support and responses I’m getting from people. It’s been an eye-opener to put myself out there for a week. Daunting to consider doing this for nearly four more weeks. But one step at a time.
Next? Really want to make some time to draw some of the urban landscapes I’ve become so attached to. And to paint on my larger paintings. And and and…
