Today was Kolokai’s first visit to the beach (with us, anyway), and thanks to all the hype, we were sufficiently warned that the weekend might involve snowfall in SF–EVEN AT SEA LEVEL! All the dire predictions did was to ensure that we had a smooth weekend of driving through SF (where did everyone go? to the hills? are they hunkered down at home, checking online?)

Threat of snowpocalypse aside, we all enjoyed a much needed sunny day at the beach (I’m considering getting fishing gear, minus the bait and hooks, just so I can sit at the beach for hours). All three dogs avidly pursued their diverse interests–Kehoe earnestly (and a bit loudly) conversed with several rocks, Toki obsessively focussed on her ball, and Kolo bounced between the two with gleeful abandon. It was pretty much a perfect day.
